Gulp not hot curry
in darn hurry
despite ya hunger
despite its flurry
You'll burn ya tongue
You'll peel ya mouth
You'll lacerate ya gum
harming ya gasping throat
From thence, dear careless:
Forget ya favourite spice -
you'll lose da taste
From this peppered curry, oh gulper:
You be done in a hurry - no merry
At dawn, damn
Noon, damn
Night, damn
And if you're still hungry...
Damn, damn, damn!
Not many of us aren't living by enough caution these days, are we? Whether in respect of wars or HIV/AIDS or illegal immigration or political gambits or media onslaught: same same.
Listen to every Grandmother in sight. Yours, mine or theirs...they have tales to tell. And their songs are words of wisdom!
Believe.
