Body to body
spirit by spirit
we won't be different
tonight
Alas, we ought be bonded
at last
Story of story
music to lyrics
I have a message
for you
At last, we will be bonded
alas
Dawn was the messenger of bliss
But I queried - not knowing
slow searching!
Noon was the driver of bliss
But I questioned its very route
still searching!
How a simple eve on nature's route
can act to heal...
How a merry tip from distant lips
can heal a heart...
How, dear apple, your sweetly lines
can chant and rhyme...
Love be the setting, alas
Love is the ending, at last!
Body to spirit
spirit and body
we won't be different
tonight
For, as one, we will be bonded
at last
And, by love, we will be different
no more!
Let no one kid you, the power of love is love. Now, for this to last you will have to journey to the place called LoveLand. And bite the bullet.
If you doubt or ask, pray, you are not alone. It's in the pie!
Just as the Internet happened upon us and changed our world, I foresee poetry in a new and renewed resurgence: the shorthand for social communication, back-stopping our drift away from heavy reading. Verses for the Masses promotes the Culture of "Popular Poetry", will help make our day, our way, our world, a better blend. Here be First Leg of my Literature Tripod & New Media Offerings.
