Optimist, be you open
and right
For, we will write
Pessimist, be you closed
and wrong
For, we will throng
The sky each sky
mark our try, your fly
Each soul a sky
all lands their skies
As we meet, which we will:
Kill not the dream
Quash not the thrill
For, we will write
Every year be a sky
many skies be a year
My music is ya musing
your misery be my mystery
So we meet
and may fit
Hear Hear!
Or we hit
and not beat
Ho Ho!
The lines ablaze
are the skies unknown
Pray fear...
For, we will write
The sky this year
be the how we've flown
All clear...
For, we will throng

Just as the Internet happened upon us and changed our world, I foresee poetry in a new and renewed resurgence: the shorthand for social communication, back-stopping our drift away from heavy reading.
