Another year
another tear
What be da pain
A better year
must never tear
Oh, we must gain
'07 knocks...
We must hope again
Another year
another pear
What be da meal
A saner year
in safer gear
Oh, we must deal
'07 knocks...
We must hold the wheel
Another year
another cheer
What be da game
A working year
for banning fear
Oh, we must tame
'07 knocks...
We must up our name
Unless you play the proverbial ostrich, no one can wish the incoming year bon arrive more than any and every soul alive today. We've seen or heard it all. Every one of us. A break, in space and time is due...is needed. Reason: To help sweep away this year of horrors. To give the world a fresh wave. To grant our souls the long-sought relief. Oh, such relief!
And I do not have to recount, do I?
Just as the Internet happened upon us and changed our world, I foresee poetry in a new and renewed resurgence: the shorthand for social communication, back-stopping our drift away from heavy reading. Verses for the Masses promotes the Culture of "Popular Poetry", will help make our day, our way, our world, a better blend. Here be First Leg of my Literature Tripod & New Media Offerings.
