No dictator goes willingly
In the end, they bluster
then gamble
No dictator wins narrowly
In the end, they cluster
then trample
No dictator ends merrily
In the end, they muster
then crumble
If dictators end miserably
and dictators come furiously
why, blood is oyster
blood is ouster
Hmm... Dictators!
Just as the Internet happened upon us and changed our world, I foresee poetry in a new and renewed resurgence: the shorthand for social communication, back-stopping our drift away from heavy reading. Verses for the Masses promotes the Culture of "Popular Poetry", will help make our day, our way, our world, a better blend. Here be First Leg of my Literature Tripod & New Media Offerings. See "myblogversations" for Drama and "webloreswebtales" for Short Stories" on blogspot.com

Bard in Cyberland
His time is here
though never lost
His era in full, not elders' error
Selling-in-telling
timing-in-chimes
Modern lines in cybertimes
Hear, hear, hear
His day be here, alas!
Ancient tips by cyberbards
whether smooth or prickly hot
be songs of the times:
Bare, bright
Simple, smart
Bear, bear, bear!
Cyberlinks and megaways
will hold lost souls
Cyberlocks in bardy-words
must save lost ways
At once blowing open mighty myths
and mirths
At once blasting open mystery verses
and poems
At last slamming shut many codes
and odes
Not slinging, not slaying freedom ways
or beasts
Hear, hear, hear!
Cybermatics as culture buffs
and addicts
Cybermedia as nature buffs
and critics
Cybermania as future buffs
and medics...
squaring frontiers of language and lines
of signs and signals
from probes to proverbs
to songs and summons:
Da poet is home
Bear, tear, hear!
though never lost
His era in full, not elders' error
Selling-in-telling
timing-in-chimes
Modern lines in cybertimes
