For a season so treacherous
we need a bond of faith
For a nation so anxious
we need the bond of truth
For a people so broken
we need the plaster of love
For a land so weary
we need the basket of care
For a generation so hungry
we need the opposite of anger
For a time so slippery
we need the grit of elders
For a proverb so forlorn
we need the reason of here
For a season of anomie
we need the beauty of peace
In this reason do we live
for this season must we rise
To make our season the reason
and our reason the prism
we need to stay as one
work as one
share as one
Just as the Internet happened upon us and changed our world, I foresee poetry in a new and renewed resurgence: the shorthand for social communication, back-stopping our drift away from heavy reading. Verses for the Masses promotes the Culture of "Popular Poetry", will help make our day, our way, our world, a better blend. Here be First Leg of my Literature Tripod & New Media Offerings. Minds and Might
Fetching hilarity, catchy sobriety
grand balls, show festivals
and the culture of restraints
power our locomotives apart
This way for maxis
That lane for minis
Let the traveller rejoice
Bring me the deeply strength
in the seas of open weakness
Holla
Serve me the open soft
from the hills of hidden steeliness
Bravo
Get grand in subtle lights
and flow in gentle shadows
Let the artiste rejoice
Homes of grandeur, meals of splendour
The kids may roam and groan
Trains of treasure, trips to measure
The trick is own-and-learn
Think ye global, act true local
Wide be not all, small be not lost
Content, consent, contentment
Let the buyer rejoice
Strength in value, wealth and valour
Minds must rise anew
Tents of riches, treats in deserts
Might must mellow anew
The beauty of locks in rocks
is as beauty of peace in seas
Holla
Let da measure be choice
grand balls, show festivals
and the culture of restraints
power our locomotives apart
This way for maxis
That lane for minis
Let the traveller rejoice
Bring me the deeply strength
in the seas of open weakness
Holla
